NBA Lagos Announces 2026 Bar Week on Digital Lawyering

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch has unveiled plans for its 2026 Annual Bar Week, themed "Lawyering in the Digital Age," set to take place from June 27 to July 3, 2026. The announcement was made during a press conference at the office of Babalakin & Co. in Lagos, where Mr.

Uchenna Ogunedo, Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch, emphasized the need for lawyers to embrace innovation to uphold professional ethics and the rule of law. Mr.

Obosa Akpata, Chairperson of the Bar Week Planning Committee, noted that the event will provide a platform for lawyers, policymakers, and technology experts to engage with the challenges of the digital age. Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon.

Justice Kudirat Keker Ekun, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address. The program will include plenary sessions focusing on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data protection, along with various activities such as health walks, sports events, and masterclasses, aimed at promoting networking within the legal community.
