NBRDA Director General Affirms Safety of GMOs in Nigeria, Promotes Biotechnology Engagement

The National Biotechnology Research Development Agency (NBRDA) Director General, Abdullahi Mustapha, reassured Nigerians about the safety and strict regulation of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) in Nigeria. Mustapha emphasized the importance of GMOs in addressing food security challenges and dispelling misinformation and fear surrounding them.

The NBRDA is committed to engaging and sensitizing stakeholders on the benefits of biotechnology for national progress. Efforts include training programs, community outreach, and field demonstrations to ensure no stakeholder is left behind.

Mustapha highlighted the agency's dedication to public health and safety while promoting innovation in agriculture, health, industry, and the environment.
