NCAA Fines Saudi Airlines N6m for Consumer Violations

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has sanctioned Saudi Airlines with a fine of N6 million for violations related to consumer protection. This decision was communicated in a letter sent to the airline yesterday.

Chris Achimugu, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the NCAA, expressed hope that Saudi Airlines would enhance its operations in Nigeria, ensuring that passengers feel protected and respected. The NCAA has previously extended a grace period for the airline to resolve several pending issues, indicating a commitment to support the airline in avoiding further violations.

Achimugu emphasized that the NCAA will continue to support Saudi Airlines and other airlines operating at optimal capacity, particularly in light of the need for consumer protection at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Nigeria.
