Max Air Refunds N182M to Passengers in Q2 2026

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) reported that Indigenous airline Max Air refunded a total of N182,099,018.88 to 956 passengers during the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, which includes the months of April, May, and June. The NCAA acknowledged this refund in a post on X on Tuesday but urged Max Air to resolve passenger refund claims more promptly, in line with Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023.

The NCAA expressed appreciation for the refunds but emphasized the need for quicker resolutions to enhance consumer protection. Additionally, the NCAA noted that on December 24, 2025, Max Air, along with United Nigeria Airlines, recorded the highest number of flight cancellations in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025.

Furthermore, Max Air had the second-highest flight delay rate during that period, following Air Peace. The NCAA warned that airlines violating consumer protection regulations would face sanctions.
