NCAA Fines Qatar Airways N5m Over Consumer Rights Violations

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has imposed a N5 million fine on Qatar Airways for violating consumer rights, particularly mistreating Nigerian passengers and failing to comply with aviation regulations. Qatar Airways allegedly mistreated passengers, including accusations of sexual harassment by cabin crew members.

The airline was also accused of disrespecting Nigerian regulations and lacking strong consumer protection laws. NCAA warned of tough sanctions for continued violations and urged airlines to adhere to regulations to defend Nigerian passengers' rights.
