NCC Pushes for 100% Waiver in RoW Charges to Boost Broadband Connectivity

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is urging states to adopt a 100% waiver on Right of Way (RoW) charges to facilitate broadband infrastructure deployment. Dr.

Aminu Maida, Vice Chairman of NCC, emphasized the importance of removing barriers to broadband expansion. Currently, 11 states have completely waived RoW charges, while 17 states still impose fees.

The NCC aims to create a conducive environment for broadband connectivity by encouraging all states to eliminate RoW charges.
