NCC rallies stakeholders’ support to protect telecom infrastructure

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has called for stakeholders' support to protect the country's telecom infrastructure, emphasizing its critical national importance. This comes after successful mediation led by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) resulted in the suspension of a planned strike by the Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA), which would have disrupted diesel supply to telecom sites nationwide.

The NCC, in collaboration with ONSA, highlighted the potential implications of service disruption on national security, the economy, and everyday life. The NCC expressed appreciation for ONSA's dedication to protecting national assets and emphasized the importance of dialogue in preventing avoidable disruptions.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing compliance with technical standards and working with stakeholders to ensure the resilience and reliability of Nigeria's telecom infrastructure.
