NCoS Warns Against Fraudulent Contract Offers in Nigeria

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) issued a public warning on Saturday regarding fraudulent documents being circulated to deceive unsuspecting individuals under the guise of government contract offers. The statement, signed by Chief Superintendent J.N.

Osuji of the Public Relations Office, clarified that these documents are not from the NCoS and emphasized adherence to federal regulations governing contract procurement. The NCoS stressed that they do not request upfront payments or mobilization fees from contractors and highlighted that fraudsters are impersonating senior officials on social media to solicit funds.

The agency urged the public to exercise caution, verify information, and disregard unsolicited contract offers from unofficial sources. Additionally, they advised individuals to report any fraudulent activities to law enforcement agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigeria Police Force, to ensure that perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice.

The NCoS reaffirmed its commitment to public safety and the importance of vigilance against scams.
