Kwankwaso Discusses Potential NDC-ADC Alliance Ahead of Elections

Rabi'u Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano and presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), stated during a live interview on Arise Television that the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) may collaborate before the upcoming elections. He discussed the departure of the ADC from an alliance with former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Kwankwaso criticized the previous administration of Muhammadu Buhari, noting that despite delivering nearly two million votes for Buhari in the 2015 presidential election, his contributions were neither recognized nor rewarded. He reflected on the successes of past administrations, particularly those of Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Yar'Adua, and expressed concerns about the current administration's failures.

Kwankwaso emphasized that political experience in the region does not guarantee good governance and mentioned the NDC's support for the 2027 presidential ticket.
