NDC Appoints Vice Chairmen for Six Geopolitical Zones

The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) has appointed vice chairmen for six geopolitical zones in Nigeria as part of its strategy to ensure proper representation within its leadership structure. The announcement was made public on Monday through a statement issued by the party's national chairman, Cleopa Zuwogh, and national secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu.

The appointed vice chairmen include Moham Bakin Zuwo and Danlami Arab for the North West and North East zones, respectively, while Barnaba J. Ejisi will serve the North Central zone.

In the southern regions, Frederick E. Owotorufa has been appointed for the South South, Teddi Obei for the South East, and Adedayo Ekong for the South West.

This move is part of the NDC's plan to strengthen its presence across the country and build a leadership system that is inclusive. The NDC, which was officially registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission in February 2026, introduced an online platform in March 2026 to allow Nigerians to join as members.
