Oduyemi Condemns Pre-Election Violence in Osun State

Nathaniel Oduyemi, a senatorial aspirant for the Osun Central Senatorial District representing the Nigeria Democratic Congress, condemned the recent wave of pre-election violence and thuggery in Osun State. In a statement issued on Saturday, Oduyemi expressed deep concern over disturbing videos circulating on social media that allegedly show political thugs attacking people, destroying property, and causing residents to flee for safety.

He stated that such violence does not reflect the values and reputation of Osun State and insisted that no political office is worth the loss of lives. Oduyemi called on the Nigeria Police Force and security agencies to act swiftly to prevent the situation from escalating further.

He appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene and restore peace in the state, emphasizing the need for every necessary step to protect lives and property. Oduyemi urged young people to reject violence and instead focus on becoming leaders and entrepreneurs, while also calling on parents and community leaders to discourage youth involvement in political thuggery.
