LPPC Suspends Chief Mike Ozekhome's SAN Status

The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC) has suspended Chief Mike Ozekhome's status as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). This decision was made during the LPPC's 173rd general meeting held on Tuesday.

The suspension is in accordance with paragraph 26(6) of the guidelines for conferring the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Kabir Akanbi, disclosed that the suspension is pending the final determination of disciplinary proceedings.

The LPPC aims to safeguard the integrity and dignity of the prestigious Senior Advocate rank, and as such, Chief Mike Ozekhome is required to refrain from presenting himself as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria until the conclusion of the disciplinary process. The LPPC remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity within the legal profession.
