NDC Candidate Gwarzo Chooses Kwankwaso's Son as Running Mate

Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the gubernatorial candidate for the NDC, has announced the selection of Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his running mate for the upcoming 2027 governorship election in Kano. The announcement was made during a meeting of the NDC caucus held at the residence of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Gwarzo expressed gratitude to the party for the nomination and emphasized his confidence in Mustapha's ability to contribute significantly to the party's success in the forthcoming elections. Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who previously served as the spokesperson for the Kano State Commission for Youth and Sports, accepted the nomination and thanked the party for the opportunity.

He is set to contest the deputy governorship position alongside Gwarzo, who is also the party's presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi's younger brother.
