NDC Praises Adeleke's Win, Criticizes Tinubu Support

Osa Director, the NDC National Publicity Secretary, stated that the governorship election outcome demonstrated voters' ability to resist tyranny and oppression.

He praised the citizens of Osun State for their turnout and commitment to ensuring their votes counted. However, Director criticized Adeleke's reported commitment to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, describing it as premature and indicative of the self-interest of political elites.

He questioned whether Adeleke's pledge considered the sacrifices made by supporters, including those who lost their lives during the election struggle. Director urged Adeleke to enjoy his electoral victory and allow the people of Osun to choose their preferred candidate for the upcoming presidential election independently, emphasizing the limits of political control over voter choice.
