Adeleke's Camp Denies Political Deal with Tinubu

The Imole Campaign Council, representing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has rejected assertions made by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, suggesting that Adeleke's endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 Presidential Election was linked to a political agreement. Spokesperson Pelumi Olajengbesi clarified that Adeleke's support is based on Tinubu's economic reforms and performance, not any prior arrangement.

Keyamo had previously congratulated Adeleke on his election victory and implied a political deal, which sparked social media speculation. Olajengbesi insisted that the governorship election results reflected the will of the Osun voters and should not be misconstrued as a result of any agreement.

He stated that Adeleke's victory, confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), was achieved through the votes of the residents, with Tinubu's role being limited to ensuring a credible democratic process. Adeleke received 511,067 votes, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 444,815 votes.
