ADC's Najeem Salaam Congratulates Adeleke on Re-election

Dr Najeem Salaam, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the recent Osun State governorship election, congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election. In a message addressed to Adeleke, Salaam stressed that the electorate's decision must be respected by all political actors.

He highlighted that democratic elections allow citizens to choose their leaders freely and that once voters have made their choice, it is essential for contestants and their supporters to accept the outcome. Salaam noted the inevitability of winners and losers in elections and called for political differences not to threaten peace and unity.

He urged Adeleke to use his renewed mandate to assess and improve his administration's performance, emphasizing the need for continuous governance improvement. Salaam also called for non-discriminatory governance that transcends political affiliations, asserting that Osun belongs to all citizens.

His message followed the Independent National Electoral Commission's declaration of Adeleke as the winner of the August 15 governorship election.
