Onanuga Critiques NDC for Lack of Clear Manifesto

Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to the President, criticized the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for its absence of a clear manifesto and detailed policy plans as the country approaches the 2027 general elections. He stated that the opposition party has failed to present a comprehensive plan to govern Nigeria, despite positioning itself as an alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Onanuga noted that attempts to access the NDC's manifesto on their website were unsuccessful, as the document was not available. He highlighted that the NDC, which registered in February, has only displayed a few policy points that resemble statements made by Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, who recently joined the NDC.

Onanuga further called for the party's national leader, Seriake Dickson, to publicly present a direct plan for the country, asserting that the NDC appears to be a gathering place for politicians seeking new platforms ahead of the next electoral cycle.
