Onanuga Critiques NDC for Lack of Manifesto Ahead of Elections

Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, criticized the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for not having a clear agenda or manifesto as the 2027 elections approach. Onanuga's comments came in response to accusations from NDC leader Seriake Dickson regarding the party's lack of a distinct vision for Nigeria.

He stated that the NDC's website did not provide any substantial information when he attempted to access their manifesto, which he found concerning. Onanuga compared the NDC unfavorably to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserting that both parties failed to present a distinct vision for Nigeria.

He expressed skepticism about the NDC's ideological pursuits and noted that their website only listed six policy points, which he deemed insufficient. Despite the NDC's recent activities, including the defection of Labour Party's presidential candidate Peter Obi, Onanuga remains doubtful about the party's preparedness to govern.
