NDDC Launches Digital Procurement Reforms for Transparency

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is committed to implementing digital procurement reforms aimed at promoting transparency and efficiency within its operations. During a workshop held in Warri, Delta State, Dr. Chuk Osuji, the Director of Procurement at NDDC, emphasized the importance of educating stakeholders, including government officials, contractors, and civil society organizations, about the new digital procurement framework.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize procurement practices, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure value for money. The NDDC aims to adopt global best practices and eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks associated with manual processes.

Engr. Onoriod Omo Udoyo, representing the Federal Government's directive on digital operations, explained that the workshop was designed to ensure a proper understanding of the seamless integration of the new system. Dr. Rex Ugulu, a research coordinator, outlined the significance of transitioning from traditional procurement methods to a digital system to enhance transparency and reduce corruption.
