NDDC Launches Digital Procurement Training in Imo State

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is undertaking significant reforms to digitize its procurement processes, aiming to improve efficiency and transparency. During a training summit held in Imo State, NDDC Director of Procurement, Chuk Osuji, highlighted that this initiative is a critical step towards enhancing workflow and eliminating inefficiencies associated with manual processes.

The NDDC's Corporate Affairs Director, Seledi Thompson Wakama, and other officials, including Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director, emphasized the need for contractors to embrace digital procurement platforms.

The reforms are part of a broader commitment to modernize procurement practices, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure value for money. Dr.

Kyrian Uchegbu, a representative from the NDDC board, noted that the digitized system would provide numerous benefits, including minimizing delays and creating a transparent competitive environment for contractors. The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's directive for public institutions to adopt reforms that strengthen public trust and improve governance.
