NDDC Hosts Arts and Culture Expo in Akwa Ibom

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) hosted an arts and culture expo in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, aimed at preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Niger Delta. The Managing Director of NDDC, Dr.

Samuel Ogbuku, highlighted the event's theme, "Rhythm of the Niger Delta," which celebrated the region's music and dance, bringing together stakeholders and cultural groups. The expo showcased traditional performances that expressed the vibrant heritage of the people.

Dr. Ogbuku, representing the NDDC board, emphasized the event's role in reinforcing bonds of love and unity among the diverse ethnic groups in the region.

He noted that the NDDC continues to gain recognition for its development strides, including hosting the second Niger Delta Games in Benin, Edo State. Special guest Ambassador Amaba Ogbuku described the expo as a powerful reminder of cultural identity and pride.

The NDDC Director of Cultural and Women Affairs, Mr. Ahunna Imoni, remarked on the importance of culture in connecting generations and telling the stories that reflect shared values.
