NDDC Launches Fire Truck to Enhance Emergency Response

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) unveiled a fire truck aimed at boosting emergency response capabilities in Rivers State. During the handover ceremony at the NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt, Managing Director Dr.

Samuel Ogbuku highlighted the shared responsibility for safety and the necessity of equipping health and safety departments with essential firefighting tools. The fire truck, acquired to ensure safety within the commission's environment, will assist in combating fire outbreaks in local neighborhoods.

Ogbuku reiterated the importance of this initiative in preventing accidents and enhancing emergency response initiatives. The NDDC's Director of Health, Safety, and Environment, Mr.

Chinyer Umeh, expressed gratitude to Dr. Ogbuku for his commitment to staff welfare and operational safety.

Umeh noted that the fire truck significantly enhances the department's capacity to respond promptly to emergencies and promotes effective safety practices within the commission.
