Ndi Abat Apologizes to Seun Okinbaloye Over Wike's Remarks

The Ndi Abat group has formally apologized to Channel Television anchor Seun Okinbaloye following controversial remarks made by Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister. Wike's comments, made during a recent media parley in Abuja, were widely misinterpreted and led to significant backlash.

The group, represented by its National Coordinator Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Secretary General Ugwuok Ugwuok, described Wike's statement as a light-hearted joke rather than a threat. They emphasized the need for political actors, particularly those in the opposition coalition, to clarify such statements to avoid unnecessary tension.

Okinbaloye confirmed that Wike reached out to resolve the issue amicably. However, the group clarified that they do not speak on behalf of the FCT Minister and highlighted Wike's support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

They urged opposition figures within the ADC to refrain from politicizing the matter further.
