NDIC to Host 2026 IADI Africa Regional Meeting in Abuja

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) is set to host the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) Africa Regional Committee (ARC) annual meeting and workshop from July 20 to 23, 2026, in Abuja, Nigeria. The theme for the event is "Safeguarding Stability: Public Awareness and Crisis Preparedness for a Stronger Future." This high-level regional engagement will bring together chief executives, directors, and senior officials from deposit insurance institutions and financial regulatory stakeholders across Africa.

The meeting will focus on strategies to strengthen public awareness and crisis preparedness in deposit insurance systems, aligning with IADI's core principles. The program will include technical committee meetings, plenary sessions, and interactive roundtable discussions addressing public awareness during normal and crisis periods.

Notable attendees will include Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), who is expected to deliver the keynote address, and dignitaries such as Mr.
