NDLEA Seizes 1,378kg of Drugs, Arrests Suspect in Edo

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) successfully arrested a suspect identified as Roland Owi, aged 37, who is reportedly a member of a drug cartel. This arrest was part of a significant operation conducted by the NDLEA command in Edo State, specifically targeting an illegal warehouse located in Igbank Community, within the Orhionmwon Local Government Area.

During the operation, the agency seized a total of 1,378 kilograms of cannabis, which included 125 bags of dried weed and skunk cannabis. The NDLEA emphasized that this operation represents a substantial blow to the drug distribution network in the region.

The agency's relentless pursuit of drug cartels is aimed at suppressing the supply of harmful substances, thereby protecting young people from the devastating effects of addiction. The seizure is noted to disrupt criminal economies and weaken trafficking syndicates, contributing to a safer society.
