NDLEA Arrests Three Disabled Individuals for Drug Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested three persons with disabilities in connection with drug trafficking during separate operations in Nigeria. On May 6, 2026, Romanu Nwabara, a 60-year-old man, was apprehended in Onitsha, Anambra State, with 250 grams of skunk.

Following this, on May 7, 2026, Amo Kenneth, 25, was arrested in Ogbunik, Anambra State, with 160.3 grams of tramadol and other drugs. On May 8, 2026, Usman Salisu was caught with 6.3 kilograms of skunk concealed in a school bag during a vehicle search in Kwara State.

Additionally, a raid in Lekki, Lagos State, led to the recovery of 4,000 parcels of cannabis, weighing 2,326 kilograms, with an estimated street value of 5.8 billion naira. The NDLEA also seized two Mercedes Benz vehicles linked to the drug operation.

The agency continues its efforts against drug abuse, as emphasized by Chairman Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (retd).
