NDLEA Declares Drug Kingpin and Associates Wanted

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared Nnamuka Kelvin Uchenna, also known as Odogwu, and three associates wanted for their alleged involvement in operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory. The suspects include Emmanuella Chinonso Iroka, Nnamuka Ifeanyi Kingsley Ekechi, and Franklin Chijiok Alia Eken Okwunaga.

This declaration follows an order from the Federal High Court in Owerri, Imo State, issued by Justice Iniekenimi Nicholas Oweibo on Friday. The NDLEA's application, filed on July 3, 2026, revealed that the suspects had gone into hiding after the agency uncovered the methamphetamine laboratory in Isiozi Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area, where 18.4 kilograms of methamphetamine and other illicit materials were recovered during a raid on February 25, 2026.

Following extensive financial forensic investigations, the NDLEA has frozen bank accounts linked to the syndicate, totaling ₦9,840,873,566.66. The agency's chairman, Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), described the operation as a major breakthrough in the fight against organized drug trafficking and illicit financial networks.
