SPIN Inducts 79 New Members in Lagos Ceremony

The Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN) inducted 79 new members during a ceremony held in Lagos, which marked a significant milestone in the institute's journey to redefine professionalism in sustainability practices in Nigeria. The event brought together professionals from various sectors, alongside existing members of the institute, including representatives from Access Bank, Arridex, Dangote Cement, First Bank, Mainstream Energy Solutions, Oando, and Seplat Energy.

Professor Emmanuel Adegbit, the Chairperson of SPIN's Scientific Committee, delivered a keynote address, challenging the inductees to move beyond mere compliance towards stewardship, emphasizing the importance of developing frameworks that reflect local institutional realities rather than simply replicating imported governance models. Professor Kenneth Amaeshi, President of SPIN, reflected on the institute's growth, noting its vision to expand to 400 members, aligning with the sustainability movement's life mindset rather than a checkbox approach.
