NDLEA Seizes Over 320,000 Tramadol Capsules in Taraba

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a truck in Taraba containing over 320,000 tramadol capsules, along with other illicit substances. The operation was based on credible intelligence and led to the arrest of 22-year-old Buhari Abdullahi.

The NDLEA recovered 320,840 capsules of tramadol, 600 ampoules of pentazocine, 4,500 pills of rohypnol, and 299 bottles of codeine-based cough syrup. In a separate operation in Ebonyi State, 75-year-old Okeb Samuel Okposi was arrested for possessing 300 grams of skunk.

The agency also reported arrests in Imo and Edo states, where various quantities of skunk and other drugs were seized. NDLEA Chairman Brig.

Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa commended the officers for their efforts in combating drug abuse and trafficking across Nigeria, emphasizing the agency's commitment to dismantling drug supply chains.
