NDLEA Seizes 2,473.755kg of Drugs, Arrests 1,018 Suspects in Katsina State

The NDLEA in Katsina State has apprehended 1,018 suspects and confiscated 2,473.755 kilograms of codeine, cannabis, and psychotropic substances. The State Commander, CN Samaila Danmallam, revealed this during a press conference, highlighting the agency's ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes.

The command has convicted 87 drug peddlers, counseled 451 clients, and rehabilitated 58 individuals. The agency is conducting awareness programs in schools and social gatherings to tackle drug abuse.

The NDLEA is seeking support from the state government to address logistical challenges and enhance operations against drug trafficking.
