NDLEA Officer Killed in Raid on Drug Enclave, Six Suspects Arrested

The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted a raid on a well-known drug enclave in Ama Hausa, Bonny Island, River State, resulting in the arrest of six drug suspects. The operation led to the seizure of a substantial amount of illicit substances, including cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, skunk, and tramadol.

During the raid, NDLEA operatives faced a violent attack by drug dealers, leading to the tragic death of Chief Narcotic Agent Sadiq Bako Mujahid, who sustained severe head injuries. Despite the immediate medical attention provided at Bonny Island General Hospital, Mujahid succumbed to his injuries.

The NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the incident and praised the bravery of the operatives. NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive, Brig. Gen. Moham Buba Marwa, commended the fallen officer's courage and described him as a disciplined official who paid the ultimate price in service to the nation.
