NDLEA Raids in Kano: 56 Suspects Arrested in Drug Bust

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) executed a significant operation in Kano State, leading to the arrest of 56 suspects involved in drug-related activities. This operation, which lasted three days, was part of ongoing efforts during Ramadan to target notorious drug locations such as Kofar Mata, Fagg, Kasuwar Rimi, Medil, and Sabon Gari.

Among those arrested was a 30-year-old suspect, Yunusa Yasin, connected to a homicide case from five years ago. The NDLEA's spokesperson, Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, confirmed the arrests and stated that various illicit substances, including cannabis sativa, diazepam, and pregabalin, were seized during the raids.

The agency emphasized its commitment to eradicating drug circulation in Kano and restoring safety in neighborhoods. The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, BRG Gen Moham Buba Marwa (Rtd), reiterated the agency's dedication to conducting targeted operations and urged the public to report individuals involved in illicit drug activities.
