NDLEA Seizes MDMA Pills Hidden in Bicycle Carriers

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a significant drug trafficking operation involving hundreds of MDMA pills, commonly known as ecstasy, concealed within bicycle luggage carriers. This operation was disclosed by Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media Advocacy for the NDLEA.

The drugs were intended for transport to Europe. Babafemi issued a warning to the public, advising against accepting parcels or luggage without knowledge of their contents, as individuals could be held liable for possessing illicit substances.

He emphasized the agency's ongoing concern regarding the evolving concealment methods employed by drug trafficking syndicates, which have included hiding narcotics in various items such as lipsticks, prayer beads, yogurt packs, and children's toys. The NDLEA continues to alert the public about the risks associated with unknowingly transporting illegal drugs.
