Ndoma-Egba Supports Otu in Legal Fight for Oil Wells

Former Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba has expressed full support for Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State in the legal battle to reclaim 76 disputed oil wells, which are crucial for the state's hydrocarbon interests. In a statement issued in Calabar, Ndoma-Egba condemned attempts by individuals to misrepresent the situation regarding the Bakassi Peninsula and the loss of oil wells, labeling such actions as blackmail aimed at distorting facts.

He stressed the need for the state to firmly pursue legal means to defend its territorial and economic interests. Ndoma-Egba noted that the Bakassi issue is historically sensitive and has significant economic implications for Cross River State.

He highlighted the importance of scientific geological data to support the state's claims and clarified that past Senate contributions should not be misconstrued as disloyalty.
