ThisDay Media Launches Lekeelekee for Nigerian Democracy

Nduka Obaigbena's ThisDay Media Group is introducing the Lekeelekee social media channel as part of a campaign to strengthen democracy and political stability in Nigeria. This initiative is aligned with Nigeria's new foreign policy direction under Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, which focuses on strategic autonomy and self-reliance.

The Institute for Diplomatic Practice and Cultural Language Development (IDPCLD) has been established to enhance diplomatic skills, with a focus on food diplomacy and cultural etiquette. Ambassador Tuggar is scheduled to deliver an inaugural lecture on March 30, 2026, at the University of Owo, emphasizing the importance of Nigeria's strategic autonomy in the face of global political and economic challenges.

The Lekeelekee platform aims to foster a new direction for Africa that does not rely on the United States or China, promoting a self-confident and self-reliant Nigeria.
