Ndume Praises Nigerian Army for Rescuing 360 Kidnapped Victims

Ali Ndume, a former Senate leader, praised the Nigerian Army for its role in the rescue of 360 victims who were held captive by insurgents in Ngosh, Borno State. The military operation took place on a Saturday in March as part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the region.

In a statement made on Sunday, Ndume lauded the troops for their professionalism, courage, and commitment despite facing significant logistical challenges. He expressed appreciation for the leadership of the Theatre Command Operation Hadin Kai, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Maiduguri, and the 26 Task Force Brigade in Gwoza.

Ndume also urged the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to support the ongoing military efforts and assist the Borno State government in rehabilitating Ngosh to facilitate the return of displaced residents. He commended Zubaida Umar, the Director General of NEMA, for providing relief materials to displaced residents and emphasized the need for sustained humanitarian support to help communities recover and rebuild their lives after years of insurgency.
