Ndume Calls for Military Focus on Borno Amid Abductions

Ali Ndume, the senator representing Borno South, reacted to the recent rescue of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State, calling for military attention to be redirected to Borno. In an interview with Channel Television, Ndume expressed concern over the ongoing abductions in his constituency, where 42 individuals remain captives.

He highlighted that 50 people were recently released, while 30 were abducted in a separate incident. Ndume's comments come in the wake of heightened fears following the beheading of a teacher during an attack.

He appealed for military support to help the people of Borno, emphasizing the urgent need to address the security challenges faced by the community.
