NECA Transforms Employers’ Summit into International Event

The Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA) announced that its annual Employers’ Summit will evolve into an International Employers’ Summit in 2027, significantly broadening its global scope. This announcement was made by the Director General of NECA, Adewale Smart Oyerind, during the ongoing Nigeria Employers’ Summit 2026 in Abuja.

Oyerind emphasized NECA's commitment to promoting investment, labor migration, and enterprise development to strengthen partnerships across Africa and the international business community. NECA is currently affiliated with over 50 African countries and the International Labour Organization (ILO), which will enhance the summit's global outlook.

Oyerind urged organizations, institutions, and individuals to partner with the summit, which has produced practical policy recommendations over the past five years to bolster confidence between government and private sector organizations. The summit will focus on economic reform, industrial policy, environmental, social governance (ESG) principles, and regulatory reforms, including Nigeria's tax reform.

Oyerind called for active participation from government officials, diplomats, and business leaders to achieve meaningful outcomes.
