NECO Warns Against Fake Supervisor Recruitment Sites

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has issued a warning regarding fake recruitment websites targeting potential examination supervisors. Azeez Sani, NECO's spokesperson, clarified that the council does not charge any fees for applications to become examination supervisors.

This announcement comes as NECO prepares for the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination, set to begin on June 15, 2026. The council has launched an official e-portal to facilitate a transparent recruitment process, aiming to recruit at least 22,000 supervisors for the upcoming exams.

NECO emphasized that the new system is designed to reduce fraud and examination malpractice, ensuring a fairer and more credible recruitment process without involving third parties. Eligible applicants must be pension teachers, at least 30 years old, and at grade level 12 or above.

NECO urged applicants to disregard any websites demanding payment and to use the official portal for applications.
