NECO Warns Against Fake Supervisor Recruitment Sites

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has issued a warning regarding fake recruitment sites that solicit payments for examination supervisor positions. Azeez Sani, NECO's spokesperson, clarified that the council does not charge any fees for applications.

This announcement comes ahead of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination, scheduled to begin on June 15, 2026. NECO aims to recruit at least 22,000 supervisors to ensure a smooth examination process nationwide.

The new e-portal is part of NECO's initiative to combat fraud and reduce examination malpractice by implementing a more credible recruitment process. Eligible applicants must be pension teachers at grade level 12 or above, aged 30 years or older.

NECO urges potential applicants to disregard any websites demanding payment and to use the official portal for applications.
