Northeast Development Commission Completes Infrastructure Projects in Bauchi State

The Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) recently completed and handed over various infrastructure projects to the Bauchi state government. These projects include the construction of three bridges along the Bauchi-Gombe highway to improve transportation links.

Additionally, the NEDC handed over projects such as a government secondary school in Yelwan Duguri, an ultra-modern cattle market in Alkaleri, an 18-bed capacity primary healthcare center in Yashi, and the rehabilitation of an examination hall and classrooms in Kirfi. The projects also involved the construction of a perimeter fence and three classrooms at the Government Day Secondary School in Mainamaji, Bauchi state.

Alhaji Uba Maigari Ahmadu, the Minister of State for Regional Development, led the delegation during the handover ceremony, emphasizing the significant benefits these projects will bring to Bauchi state and neighboring regions. Alhaji Mohammad Goni Alkali, the Managing Director of NEDC, highlighted the strategic importance of these projects for the Bauchi-Gombe corridor.
