NEDC to Construct Roads and Bridges in Yobe State for Socio-Economic Development

The Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) under the leadership of its Managing Director, Alhaji Muhammad Goni Alkali, announced plans to construct roads and bridges in Yobe State. The project aims to connect communities like Kara, Masaka, and Mazaga to Potiskum town, addressing long-standing challenges faced by the Tandari community due to the absence of a bridge link.

The Yobe State Coordinator of the Commission, Professor Ali Ibrahim Abba, highlighted that the construction aligns with the NEDC's mandate to support post-recovery efforts and resettlement. The project is expected to enhance access to healthcare facilities, schools, markets, and improve socio-economic activities in the area.

It will also create job opportunities and improve the economic status of residents in the Potiskum local government area.
