PDP National Convention Set for March 29-30 Amid Talks

The Wike camp within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that ongoing negotiations and reconciliations will not delay the party's national convention, set for March 29-30. This announcement was made during a press briefing at the PDP national secretariat on Wednesday.

The party's caretaker committee is preparing for the convention, with plans to publish the names of members involved in organizing the event. The committee will be inaugurated on March 21 at 8 PM, with a zonal committee meeting scheduled for March 22 to discuss the party's position across various geopolitical zones.

The national executive committee (NEC) will convene on March 23 at noon in Abuja. The sale of nomination forms will take place from March 23 to March 25, closing at 3 PM.

Additionally, March 26 is reserved for hearing appeals related to the screening process. A pre-convention cocktail event is planned for March 28 at 5 PM, with strict invitations issued.
