Wike's Camp Sets Conditions for PDP Reconciliation

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by Nyesom Wike has outlined conditions for reconciliation within the party, asserting that they will not backtrack on their plans for the national convention scheduled for March 29-30. This statement comes amid reconciliation efforts led by Tanimu Turaki and the national working committee.

Samuel Anyanwu, in an interview, indicated that the party has moved past its internal divisions, with Turaki's group no longer viewing itself as a separate faction. Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has also reached out for reconciliation.

Wike has made it clear that any reconciliation will not impact the party's plans for the convention, which is already underway in several states across the country. Sundai Bisi, chairman of the Osun State chapter, reiterated that Wike's camp remains open to reconciliation while insisting on the importance of the party's scheduled convention.
