NEMA Receives 150 Nigerian Returnees from Niger Republic in Ongoing Initiative

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) welcomed 150 Nigerian returnees from Agadez, Niger Republic at Kano International Airport. This reception is part of the ongoing voluntary return initiative supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Nigerian government.

Upon arrival, the Nigerian Immigration Service promptly conducted biometric registration and ensured proper documentation for the returnees. The returnees, comprising 88 adult males, 32 adult females, 14 male children, and 16 female children, were provided with essential services, immediate humanitarian assistance, including food, water, and medical care to address their immediate needs for reintegration into the country.
