NEMSA and REAN Collaborate to Boost Renewable Energy Safety

The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) and the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN) have initiated a strategic collaboration to strengthen safety standards and quality assurance within Nigeria's rapidly expanding renewable energy sector. According to a statement released on Monday in Abuja, REAN's delegation, led by its President Ayo Ademilola, visited NEMSA's headquarters and was received by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation Olusegun Adesayo, alongside members of the agency's management team.

Ademilola emphasized REAN's commitment to promoting strict adherence to technical standards and safe practices across the renewable energy industry. The association represents over 300 stakeholders, including developers, service providers, and equipment manufacturers, working to harmonize local and international standards in Nigeria's renewable energy market.

The partnership will focus on identifying, developing, and implementing applicable technical standards for renewable energy installations across the country, supporting the development of guidelines and manuals to promote uniform safety regulatory compliance nationwide.
