NEMSA and FGN Power Company Strengthen Power Sector Safety

The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) is deepening its collaboration with the FGN Power Company to enhance safety and technical standards within Nigeria's power sector. During a courtesy visit to NEMSA's headquarters in Abuja, Engr.

Olusegun Adesayo, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NEMSA, reiterated the agency's commitment to fostering institutional collaboration as vital for achieving sustainable growth and improving the performance of the electricity industry. Kenni Anuw, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FGN Power Company, acknowledged the importance of this partnership, focusing on strengthening transmission and distribution capacity, enhancing operational development, and mobilizing financial resources.

Both leaders emphasized the critical role of NEMSA in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and safeguarding lives and properties. The collaboration aims to support the Federal Government's presidential power initiative, which seeks to transform Nigeria's power infrastructure and improve electricity supply nationwide.
