Labour Party Faction Accuses Nenadi Usman of Secretariat Break-In

A faction led by Julius Abure has accused Nenadi Usman, the interim national chairman of the Labour Party, of orchestrating a forceful break-in at the party's secretariat, where valuables were allegedly stolen. The faction's public secretary, Obiora Ifoh, claimed that hoodlums invaded the secretariat in the early hours of Tuesday, pulling down the party's billboard and replacing it with Usman's claim.

The Usman camp, however, denies the invasion, stating that they had police assistance. The dispute stems from a Federal High Court judgment recognizing Usman as the interim chairman, which the party leadership is appealing.

The faction led by Abure expressed dismay at the invasion and emphasized the need for legal resolution rather than resorting to self-help measures. The statement called on relevant security agencies to address the breach, highlighting the threat to democratic processes.
