LP Factional Crisis: Nenadi Usman's Group Accuses Julius Abur's Faction of Vandalizing Headquarters

A factional crisis has erupted within the Labour Party (LP) in Nigeria, with Nenadi Usman's faction accusing Julius Abur's faction of orchestrating the vandalism of the party's headquarters in Abuja. The incident occurred following a court ruling that recognized Nenadi Usman as the interim national chairman of the LP.

Usman, backed by Abia State Governor Alex Otti, attempted to take control of the party's secretariat in Abuja. However, Abur's faction reportedly stormed the facility, tearing down Usman's billboards.

The clash led to accusations of hoodlum activities and property destruction. Usman's cohort, including Deputy Governor of Abia State Ikechukwu Emetu, alleged that Abur's faction avoided a direct confrontation.

The situation escalated with the involvement of law enforcement, including eight truckloads of policemen. LP's public secretary, Obiora Ifoh, condemned the incident and highlighted the refusal of Abur's faction to engage in a direct confrontation.
