Nenadi Usman Calls for Unity in Labour Party Leadership

Nenadi Usman, the national chairman of the Labour Party, has issued a call for unity among party members, specifically addressing Julius Abure's camp to return to leadership roles. This appeal comes after a ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja, which dismissed Julius Abure as the national chairman of the Labour Party.

The judgment, delivered by Justice Peter Lifu, cited a Supreme Court verdict from April 4, 2025, affirming Usman as the valid leader of the party. Usman emphasized the need for party members to set aside personal interests and work collaboratively for the betterment of the Labour Party.

She made these statements during a high-level strategic summit aimed at consolidating the party's strength and sustaining its political impact. Usman encouraged anyone interested in contesting for positions in the upcoming national congress to do so and assured that the winners would be recognized as the party's leaders.
